Product Manager

Position Summary

This position will focus and be responsible for the development of the Oil & Gas segment at Dura-Bar; driving product marketing strategies and programs consistent with overall business objectives utilizing traditional and innovative marketing/product approaches, tools and methodologies. The position manages the business development process from market analysis to new customer and application development for selected market segments. The Product Manager will be responsible for working with the Sales Manager and Marketing Manager in developing the overall comprehensive strategic plan in the targeted market segments.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors or higher degree in science, engineering, business or marketing with a minimum of
3-5 years of combined sales, marketing and/or technical experience. 
 
Candidate should have a working technical knowledge of metals processing.
 
Experience in sales and marketing of technical materials or customized products that require application development.
 
Candidate should demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment.
 
Capable of managing to completion a variety of projects and programs simultaneously and efficiently.
 
High-energy, self-motivated and responsible with mature judgment and initiative.
 
Proficient at time management with the ability to “make things happen” with minimal
supervision.
 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
 
Ability to work with all levels of customer’s organization and internal management.

Major Accountabilities

 

  • Develop and lead product marketing strategies within the oil & gas product line

  • Develop and execute portfolio product marketing strategies to achieve stated revenue, profitability and market share objectives

  • Drive economic value across products in the segment

  • Lead process-driven initiatives which combine new product development and process improvement to deliver improvement in quality and reliability

  • Works with supervisor and co-workers to evaluate trends in assigned segments or new but related markets to determine segment opportunities, risks and strategies

  • Works with Brand Manager to support promotional materials and events

  • Working with the field sales organization, develop deep relationships with key customers within the segment

  • Direct activities to key market segments and provide necessary resources to support the field sales organization

  • Collaborate with field sales management and customers to develop and execute marketing plans and programs

  • Partner with other departments in the division to support portfolio optimization and new product launches

Project Engineer

Position SummaryThis position performs functions to coordinate long and short-term projects including major construction projects and equipment design/ installation.  The position exercises considerable judgment to design new equipment, buildings or manufacturing processes. The purpose of this role is to design and develop engineering solutions and oversee construction process and outside contractors.  Research and develop new automated manufacturing systems.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Broad knowledge of a discipline, such as Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial Engineering.
  • Engineering background and experience required as root-cause analysis and critical thinking are crucial to good design solutions
  • 6 – 7 years’ experience in large project design and management
  • Fabrication, machining and general equipment assembly knowledge
  • Experience with capital equipment procurement
  • Experience with Reliability Engineering including predictive maintenance, trouble-shooting, PM systems, equipment operation and engineering design
  • Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Products
  • Using tools / instruments related to area of discipline
  • Ability to interpret and apply equipment regulations on a practical basis (OSHA, U.S. Building Codes)
  • Ability to work in teams as a leader and as a member
  • Strong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and draw conclusion
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
Proficiency in equipment design using AutoCAD/Solid works

Continuous Improvement Manager

Position Summary

Support and drive process improvement teams and projects to achieve measurable results using Six Sigma, Lean, problem solving and project management methods throughout the business. Manage multiple projects while building relationships and credibility with internal customers throughout the various functions. Direct and organize Continuous Improvement of all critical processes, activities, and manage the Continuous Improvement Leaders/Department, as applicable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related degree.

  • Five plus years’ supervisory/leadership experience.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from a recognized source.

  • Proficient with analytical methods, mathematics, and statistics.

  • Experienced in team leadership with proven problem-solving experience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills in engaging with others and learning their area of the business.

  • Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.

Electrician "B"

Position SummaryThe “B” Electrician maintains and troubleshoots industrial equipment and demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot common equipment problems under general maintenance supervision.  The “B” Electrician is expected to repair all electrical systems, equipment and machinery of the plant facilities in accordance with codes, regulations and specifications, ensuring minimum down time of the plant operations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed an electrical apprenticeship or completed one to three years of trades training or an associate degree from a technical college or its equivalent (Or a combination of education and experience)
  • 3 years of industrial electrician related experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, codebooks and specifications.

  • Ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines, for possible problems.

  • Knowledge of Drives and motor controls.
  • Understanding of NEC and NFPA-70E.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemen, GE, etc.)

  • Knowledge of operation of SCRs, rectifiers, capacitors and resistors.

  • PID troubleshooting

  • Crane troubleshooting experience

  • Knowledge and aptitude on hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, machining and mechanical systems.

  • Troubleshooting experience with automated systems (material handling, machine tools, and metal casting equipment)

  • Work experience in a Foundry environment.

Machine Tool Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary

The Machine Tool Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment with a general focus on the finishing equipment in the plant.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read blue-prints, electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams.
  • An in-depth understanding of the application of technical documents such as machine & equipment manuals and safety documentation.
  • An in depth understanding of CNC controls such as Siemens and Mazatrol.
  • The ability to diagnose various sources of mechanical and industrial control related issues on CNC machines.
  • The ability to operate manual mills, lathes, saws, and drill presses.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess good interpersonal, listening, and participation skills including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Strong skills and aptitude in math

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of machine tool equipment design (servo motors, servo drives, encoders, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Formal training with hydraulics and CNC machine control.
  • 5 plus years of experience with CNC and machine tool repair and maintenance.
  • 5 plus years of experience maintaining/repairing Gisholt turret lathes & Cincinnati duplex mills.
  • Highly proficient with computers.

Major Accountabilities

  • Perform advanced preventive and predictive maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting on equipment mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and CNC control systems.
  • Determine appropriate corrective action for unplanned equipment failures including repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds.
  • Perform and observe operational checks to ensure that all problems have been corrected.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and sequence work including ordering required parts and staging necessary tools and equipment.
  • Determine and/or develop maintenance procedures when documentation is not available.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance work performed.
