Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary

Process payments accurately and on a timely basis. Understand and identify opportunities for improvement and strive to eliminate waste and automate processes. Support all businesses when necessary, assist with special projects, and participate on cross-business teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six plus months’ customer service support experience.
  • Strong data entry, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Experience working in teams.
  • Proficient in the basic features of Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree.
  • One plus years’ accounts payable experience.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, OnBase AP, QAD automation software.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a team environment.

Major Accountabilities

  • Accurately process invoices and requests daily for payment and in a timely basis.
  • Work closely with locations to identify and resolve invoice-related issues.
  • Process weekly check runs accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Develop and distribute reporting of payment trends and terms.
  • Daily reconciliation of accounts payable.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for recurring payments to vendors.
  • Assist with year-end requests from external auditors.
  • Responsible for maintaining the business’s accounts payable filing system.
  • Participate in the development, documentation, and maintenance of processes and procedures for accounts payable.
  • Special projects involvement.
  • Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
  • Representing the AP team as a service/support function to other departments in the business.

Product Manager - Special Bar Quality

Position SummaryThis position will focus and be responsible for the development of the Special Bar Quality segment at Dura-Bar; driving product marketing strategies and programs consistent with overall business objectives utilizing traditional and innovative marketing/product approaches, tools and methodologies. The position manages the business development process from market analysis to new customer and application development for selected market segments. The Product Manager will be responsible for working with the Sales Manager and Marketing Manager in developing the overall comprehensive strategic plan in the targeted market segments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or higher degree in science, engineering, business or marketing with a minimum of
  • 3-5 years of combined sales, marketing and/or technical experience.
  • Firm knowledge of metals processing with 3-5 experience.
  • Experience in sales and marketing of technical materials or customized products that require application development.
  • Candidate should demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capable of managing to completion a variety of projects and programs simultaneously and efficiently.
  • High-energy, self-motivated and responsible with mature judgment and initiative.
  • Proficient at time management with the ability to “make things happen” with minimal
  • supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). 
  • Ability to work with all levels of customer’s organization and internal management.

  • Develop and lead product marketing strategies within the sbq product line
  • Develop and execute portfolio product marketing strategies to achieve stated revenue, profitability and market share objectives

Electrical Engineer

Position SummaryImprove the reliability of equipment related to automation, controls, and electrical systems. Analyze performance, reliability, and maintenance data to eliminate unplanned outages and reduce the equipment life cycle costs.  Proactively develop a plan and schedule for major outages and upgrades.  Support all shifts with technical expertise, industry standards, and training to enable them to maintain, repair, and improve the plant equipment. Provide troubleshooting support on major problems and facilitate plans to address repetitive and ongoing equipment issues.  Actively identify opportunities for improvement to achieve specific goals and objectives. Simultaneously manage multiple projects and continually drive the team to look for ways to implement process improvements. Apply a hands-on approach in identifying problems that may be improved or solved using automation, hardware design, or data collection techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Five plus years’ related experience or a combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in control system design.

  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and control equipment.

  • Demonstrated skills in leading and participating in cross functional teams.

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Power Distribution and Power Electronics.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, drives, codes, and controls.

  • Understanding of NEC and NFPA-70E.

  • High level PLC programming experience.

  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • Proficient in the advanced features of Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related degree.

  • Previous related-industry experience.

  • Experience in a Lean manufacturing or a Continuous Improvement oriented environment.

  • Leadership and training skills.

  • Knowledge of AC/DC drives.

  • Siemens AC/DC drive and Simatic-S7 experience.

  • Basic knowledge and aptitude on hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, machining and mechanical systems.

  • Experience with major capital projects.

  • Ability to design, interpret and draw electrical schematic (AutoCAD and/or Solid Works).


Major Accountabilities

  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving electrical-related automation problems.

  • Develop project estimates and financial proposals.

  • Evaluate automation and control system needs. Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs. Oversee or perform upgrades to existing systems and implementation of new systems.

  • Maintain and improve ongoing ARC flash program.

  • Ensure repairs and redesigns meet code and operate to specification.

  • Ensure equipment meets NFPA70E and NEC requirements.

  • Communicate regularly with all interested parties, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning electrical/automation issues.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide trouble shooting support to all departments.

  • Support a team-driven Continuous Improvement system.

  • Design and evaluate electrical control systems and components.

  • Maintain production related control and computer systems including Level 0 field devices, Level 1 PLC and HMI.

  • Directly or indirectly supervise departmental resources (employees, contractors, and/or equipment) to develop and maintain a well-organized and trained service group to the operation.

  • Keep abreast of technological changes and developments in related fields.

  • Follow Environmental Management System procedures to prevent pollution, improve environmental performance, and more than meet the legal environmental regulations.

Machine Tool Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary

The Machine Tool Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment with a general focus on the finishing equipment in the plant.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read blue-prints, electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams.
  • An in-depth understanding of the application of technical documents such as machine & equipment manuals and safety documentation.
  • An in depth understanding of CNC controls such as Siemens and Mazatrol.
  • The ability to diagnose various sources of mechanical and industrial control related issues on CNC machines.
  • The ability to operate manual mills, lathes, saws, and drill presses.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess good interpersonal, listening, and participation skills including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Strong skills and aptitude in math

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of machine tool equipment design (servo motors, servo drives, encoders, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Formal training with hydraulics and CNC machine control.
  • 5 plus years of experience with CNC and machine tool repair and maintenance.
  • 5 plus years of experience maintaining/repairing Gisholt turret lathes & Cincinnati duplex mills.
  • Highly proficient with computers.

Major Accountabilities

  • Perform advanced preventive and predictive maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting on equipment mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and CNC control systems.
  • Determine appropriate corrective action for unplanned equipment failures including repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds.
  • Perform and observe operational checks to ensure that all problems have been corrected.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and sequence work including ordering required parts and staging necessary tools and equipment.
  • Determine and/or develop maintenance procedures when documentation is not available.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance work performed.
